Stick to the 500 calorie intake in the second phase of the HCG diet.
  • Weigh your food choices before cooking to maintain proper portion sizes. Provide a food scale to assist you during the VLCD. Follow the protocol of the HCG diet to stop intense cravings and start to establish healthy eating habits. One way to counter cravings is not to think of them at all. Avoid eating sugary treats and refined carbs because they are the typical triggers of cravings.
  • Maintain the HCG shots every day to suppress your appetite. The HCG will reset your metabolic rate and increase your energy. It also prevents muscle loss. It is better to administer your HCG injections in the morning to prevent hunger throughout the day.
