Sample Dinner Recipes during the HCG Diet

The HCG diet allows 500 calories per day on the second phase. Enough for bland foods! To avoid getting bored with the process, create a delicious treat. There are lots of HCG recipe you can follow online. Adding new meals helps you reach your weight loss goal. It prevents the feeling of deprivation during the VLCD.

The second phase of the HCG diet permits two meals. For breakfast, you can only have a cup of tea or coffee. Solid foods are permissible during lunch and dinner. The quantity of the foods you have for lunch is the same as what you get for dinner. Ensure to get a portion from approved food groups.

Each meal must consist of:

  • One serving of lean meat as a source of protein
  • One serving of vegetable
  • You can add one serving of carb (Melba toast or Grissini)
  • One medium-sized fruit

Weigh the meat before cooking. Remove the visible fats to prevent stalling. Avoid adding oil, cream, and butter to your foods. Ensure that you get 200 grams of protein per day during the VLCD. Add an HCG diet-safe seasonings for every meal you cook to prevent weight gain.

Here are some dish you can enjoy during the HCG diet

#1- TERIYAKI CHICKEN:

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of skinless chicken breast
  • One tablespoon of water
  • Two minced garlic cloves
  • One teaspoon of ground ginger
  • Freshly-squeezed juice of a medium lemon

How to cook?

  • Add water to all the ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Add the chicken and cover in sauce.
  • Allow the meat to marinate in your fridge for an hour.
  • Grill the chicken and serve.
  • You can also add a thin slice of tomato if you want.

For the vegetable dish:

#2- TANGY CRUNCHY CABBAGE

Ingredients:

  • One small sized cabbage (shredded)
  • 1/8 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 cup of water
  • Salt and pepper

How to cook?

  • Get a frying pan and place all the ingredients.
  • Stir constantly for five minutes.
  • Wait until the cabbage is at your preferred consistency.

For side dish/fruit serving, you can make:

#3-SHRIMP COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of shrimp
  • Two tablespoons of
  • lemon juice
  • ¼ lemon
  • One tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon of horseradish
  • One medium-sized tomato (sliced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to cook?

  • Add ¼ lemon to a large pot of boiling water.
  • Put the shrimp and allow to cook for three minutes.
  • Remove shrimp and put it in your refrigerator for thirty minutes.
  • Take off the vein and combine the rest of the ingredients to create a sauce.
  • Put the shrimp in the sauce and serve.

#4- CHICKEN TACOS

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of chicken breast
  • Two tablespoons of chopped onion
  • One minced garlic clove
  • ¼ teaspoon of oregano
  • One teaspoon of cilantro
  • One teaspoon of cumin and pepper
  • Four large lettuce leaves

How to cook?

  • Cut the chicken breast in half.
  • Submerge the meat in a small pot of water.
  • Allow the water to boil for fifteen minutes.
  • Shred the chicken meat using a fork.
  • Put the meat in a pan and add all the spices.
  • Warm them in medium heat for three minutes.
  • Add to lettuce leaves and add a homemade tomato salsa.
