HCG diet phase 2 is the weight loss phase. This is when you start to cut down your calorie intake after the loading phase. You are only allowed to eat 500 calories per day on Phase 2. Your major meal in this phase is during lunch and dinner. You are not allowed to have solid foods for the HCG diet breakfast. Your VLCD meal should have a portion of protein, vegetables, and fruits.

How much weight will you lose per day on the HCG diet?

The usual weight loss on the HCG diet is 2lbs per day. You can also possibly lose up to 5lbs. Take note that everyone is different and has different weight loss results. You cannot compare your weight loss to the others. One certain thing is that you can successfully lose weight and reach your weight loss goal.

Which HCG form should you use during the VLCD?

HCG has different forms such as drops, injections, and pellets. The drops and pellets can be used if you are intimidated by injections. However, it does not have the same result as the injection. It is because most of the active ingredients HCG drops and pellets will just be digested along with the foods you eat. The HCG injection shows promising results and fast weight loss compared to other forms of HCG.

How will you administer the injection?

You can administer your HCG injection subcutaneously. This is done by locating the fat tissue or under your skin. You will not feel any discomfort or pain when you have your injection subcutaneously.

What are the side effects of the HCG diet?

The reported side effects of the HCG diet are mild and may not come at all. You can experience hunger, headache, irritability, and dizziness. These side effects do not come all at once or may not come at all. The side effects come when you fail to get the right dose of HCG.

What are the things you will need during the VLCD?

Make sure to have the complete HCG kit. You also need to have a weighing scale and a food scale. This is for you to monitor your weight every day. A food scale is needed for proper food portioning especially on the protein choice.  Provide a diet journal to put your records on your daily weigh-ins and food choices.

Is hunger possible during the VLCD of the HCG diet?

Hunger comes naturally during the first week of the VLCD. Your body is still adjusting to fewer calorie intakes. As soon as the HCG is in your system, hunger will just go away. There are also cases that hunger occurs because you skip your meals. Maintain your HCG shot at the same time each day. Avoid skipping your meals and make sure you reach the 500 calorie requirements during the VLCD.

What are the exercises allowed during the P2 of the HCG diet?

To be clear, exercising is not fully required during the VLCD. However, you can still accompany some light exercises. Yoga, meditation, walking, jogging, and swimming are allowed. You just have to make sure that you are not tired or hungry when you exercise. Light activities can be done for 10 to 15 minutes.
