Phase 4 is the time where you maintain your weight loss. This is the part that you are done with your VLCD and stabilization phase. Phase 4 is when you continue to maintain your weight as the HCG is out in your system. Your weight stabilization allows you to eat more food choices than you have during P2 and P3. However, you are still not allowed to load on too much as if you are doing your loading phase.

The foods that are not allowed during P4 of the HCG diet

  1. The highly processed white flour

Processed white flour is refined to the point where its nutritional value is lowered. This will eventually be converted into sugar during digestion. White flour can raise your insulin levels and will trigger your body to store fats. This will also make your stomach bloated if it is not well digested. Stay away from white bread, pasta, white rice, and other products made with white flour.

  • Refined White sugar

White sugar can certainly add your weight fast. Sugars are said to be the greatest addiction. White sugar has no nutrients, minerals and even low in enzyme. This will make your body store fats easily and it will suppress your immune system. Stay away from soda, juices, wine, and other processed drink because they are loaded with sugar. Here are common forms of sugar that you must be aware of:

  • Sucrose, rice syrup, and lactose
  • Corn syrup, glucose, and dextrose
  • Sorbitol and fructose
  • Galactose and molasses
  • Table salt

Be careful with your salt because it will affect your blood pressure levels. Be careful also with MSG (monosodium glutamate) and other food preservatives. Foods that contain a lot of salt are cheese, bacon, green olives, mustard, and potato chips. You also have to avoid salted nuts and baking powder.

  • Dairy products

Be careful with pasteurizing products because it lowers the enzyme of the foods. Most of these products can cause bloating and other health issues. The dairy products you must avoid on P4 are buttermilk, ice cream, cheese, and sweetened yogurt.

Keep in your mind that you are doing your HCG diet. You must eat clean and whole foods regularly. You also have to make sure that you stay hydrated for the entire diet duration. This is because water plays a major role in your weight loss. Grab enough time to sleep to improve your focus on your diet protocol. Sleeping will also keep your stress off and it renews your energy.
