If you have completed the 2-day loading of P1 then you are ready to embark the phase 2 of the HCG diet. The second phase of the HCG diet is also known as the very low-calorie diet. It is for you to adapt to healthy eating habits and proper food portioning.

It is important to know that VLCD has nothing to do in rapid fat burning because the HCG is already responsible for it. The second phase of the HCG diet starts immediately on day three as you continue your HCG shot. You have to have it daily at the same time each day for greater weight loss goal.

You can also eat fruits for snacking such as grapefruit, oranges, apples and strawberries. Again, you have to make sure that you do not go beyond 500-800 calories per day.

Menstruation during the HCG diet

Skip your HCG shot if you have menstruation because it may affect the hormonal activity in your body. It is safe to kip your HCG shot and wait until your menstruation is over. However, you have to continue your diet without the HCG. Maintain proper food choices and food portioning during the VLCD.
