Phase 1 is the loading day of the HCG diet program. This is the days of the HCG diet that you are allowed to eat anything. You can eat all the foods that you are going to miss when you are on the HCG diet. This heavy loading time is an important part of the HCG diet. You cannot start the HCG diet without doing phase 1 or the loading phase. You have to eat such as cake, potatoes, ice-cream, bread, and pasta. Phase 1 continues for 2 days and it will end in the third day of the diet. After the loading phase i the Very low-calorie diet. The VLCD is the reason for the preparation in phase 1.

It is important to have a stable time for your HCG injections. You have to take it the same time each day to avoid a missed dose. See to it that you have injected the right amount of hormones to avoid hunger or cravings. This would be in a consistent way so that you will get the effect of the hormones. This is done based on the instructions in doing the HCG diet injections.  Phase 1 of the HCG diet will serve as the preparation period for the entire diet duration. The reason for the loading phase is to have the exact excess fat that will be used in the entire VLCD. The HCG diet will use the fats reserved as the source of energy instead of getting it from the food we eat.

As much as possible you have to load on to fats and carbs in Phase 1. This will prepare the body and the fat store for the fat burning. Some of the HCG dieters often begin the diet by eating outside or from the restaurants. It will supply the carvings as well as the fat stores which are needed. Filling out the fat stores is the main goal of phase 1. Do not forget to include fats in your phase 1 meals. Load as many fats as you want. However, you have to load on to foods slowly. Do not do it too much until you get sick.

The suggested fats for phase 1 are healthy fats. The healthy fats are the fats you can get from whole foods such as fruits and veggies. You can also have fats from fish or meat. One of the most common healthy fat sources comes from avocado, cream, eggs and etc.
